Upon closure on 15<sup>th<\/sup> January, 2016, entries totaling 222 were received from different countries of the world including Nigeria, India, United States, Brazil and Mexico. A panel chaired by Jumoke Verissimo was set up to assess the entries received, select publishable contents for the forthcoming anthology of food related poems and eventually come up with a shortlist of 10 poems, from which the top 3 poems will be awarded cash prizes; \u20a640,000 ($200.95), \u20a620,000 ($100.48) and \u20a610,000 ($50.24) respectively.<\/p>\n<!-- WP QUADS Content Ad Plugin v. 1.7.8 -->\n<div class=\"quads-location quads-ad2\" id=\"quads-ad2\" style=\"float:none;margin:0px;\">\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\r\n<script>\r\n  (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({\r\n    google_ad_client: \"ca-pub-5983616716487778\",\r\n    enable_page_level_ads: true\r\n  });\r\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>Having critically observed the procedures stated above, we are pleased to announce the shortlist of the 2015 edition of Eriata Annual Food Poetry Contest.
