This is made possible with the flexible approach adopted in assessment of creative works considered for publication and continuous tweaking of the structure of the journal. Our openness has, in no small measure, enhanced the overall quality of our publication.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, accepting submissions without pinning them to a particular theme, but specifications of columns, makes this 7<sup>th<\/sup> issue a standout. Like spring, this issue exhibits growth and renewal. Hitherto unknown voices spring to life herein. There is freshness of ideas, unhindered flow of emotions regulated by creativity and most importantly, genuineness of craft.<\/p>\n<p>Starting with the basic, <em>The Cradle <\/em>is home to beautiful works of Balogun Olabode<strong>, <\/strong>an SSS 2 student at Life Academy, Iyesi Ota, in Ogun State and Osalam Wosu whose mastery of rhyme produces a sensational effect. Chisom Okafor, 3<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0prize winner of the 2016 edition of Nigerian Students Poetry Prize, gives one every reason to appreciate good poetry. He features alongside Ojo Taiye in <em>Blazing Hot<\/em>; Osuji Charles Chisom and Obehi Aigiomawu in <em>Crispy Satire.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Much excitement and \u2018dark imagery\u2019 inhabit the poems of Nureni Ibrahim, Agbaakin Jeremiah, Samuel Nwokpoku Chukwudi, Jonathan Otamere Endurance and Bakare Ibrahim Toyin in <em>Erotic Zone<\/em>. Olajuwon Joseph Olumide hosts a feast in our minds with his food poem entitled \u2018Such Regale\u2019. However, Amaka Chime, author of <em>Harassed<\/em>, ends the jollification with her satirical food-poem which calls for solemnity.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, The Chief Judge of the 2017 edition of the Nigerian Students Poetry Prize, Professor Akachi Ezeigbo allows us an entry into her knowledge-filled world. She talks about her personality, writings and other literary matters <em>On the Spot<strong>.<\/strong><\/em> Ebullient spoken word poets, Cherry Entafield and Njoku Paul Chibuike share their aspirations with us in <em>Spoken Waves. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>In his favorite <em>kona,<\/em> foremost Naija Languej promoter, Eriata Oribhabor dialogues with an unseen friend as humour takes centre-stage. Amarachi Attamah and John Chijoba Vincent give a single tongue to poetry with their Igbo poems. Foreign but comprehensible writings of Sergio Ortiz (Puerto Rico), Dr. Santosh Bakya (India), Lynn White (North Whales) and Arathy Asok (India) appear in <em>Across the Oceans<\/em>. Other columns such as <em>Poetic Insight, Special Contributors, Book Reviews, From the Blues, Creative Words on Marble <\/em>and<em> Photo-Poetry<\/em> also boast of engaging contents. Interestingly, the cover photograph, taken by Haastrup Samuel Adesanmi, is in tandem with the springlike nature of the journal.<\/p>\n<p>The 7<sup>th<\/sup> issue of the PIN Quarterly Journal shows how resolute we are in our quest to provide our readers with delightful works worthy of their attention and appreciation.
