Hankalin ‘yan uwa bai kwanta ba
Kayuka da yawa muka wuce a jeji
Mai yiwuwa a gaba mu iske maciji
Zuciya ta kara bugawa ta ke yi
Don ta ji a can tashin boma bomai ake yi
Ko da na sauka ba wanda na gani
Wai ashe Joseph da Muhammadu gudun tsira
su ka yi
Ko dai kayukan su na gani sauke a jeji?
Da na leka masallaci gizo gizo na gani
Wai ko juma’a ma a gida a ke yi
Kullum cikin jana’iza a ke
Gawarwaki ma su na cikin hawaye
Zuwa ga shugabannin mu marasa adalci
Ku sa ni fa dubbannin mutane sun daina nishi
Saboda boma boman da ke tashi
Ku rugo da guda ku kawo dauki
Domin kasar mu ta bar gudu da hakki
Kasar Borno ta koma kasar Aminci
Najib Adamu Usman, born in Gombe State in 1999, is a Nigerian poet and essayist. A member of Gombe Jewel Writers Association and Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), Gombe State Chapter, Najib is the Poets in Nigeria’s Lead representative, Gombe Connect Center. Most of his works have appeared in many journals, blogs and magazine. He is a law student at AD Rufa’i College for Legal and Islamic studies, Misau, Bauchi State.

Mú s’enu korin “nnkán nbe”.
Àkàlàmàgbò gbó, ó dékun èrín.
Igúnnugún gbó, ó wonkoko m’órí eyin.
Èrò ojà Olówó!
E tara sàsà wá wo ìyàwó alárédè,
Eni tí a ní kí èyìn rè ó má m’ení,
Tó n sàsàrò b’éyìn rè kò se ní mo omo.
Òlàjú mb’óròjú?
Ìyàwó eléyìn ike tó gb’ómo kápá.
Òròjú mb’ólàjú?
Abiyagba eléyìn má l’òjá,
Tó so ìkókó di èrò inú kèké.
E jé kí àsà àtòhúnrìnwá máa gb’óhùn-ún,
K’ále rójú àwon omo ilè tiwa.
N’ílè káàárò- oò- jí-i- re,
Oru èyìn ni ìkókó n gbà dàgbà.
Ayobami Oluwatosin Joseph is a native of Ogbomosho town, residing at Ibadan with his parents. He attended Seventh Day Adventist School at Foko for his Basic Education, Eyinni High School at Orita Challenge for Junior Secondary Education and Oladipo Alayande School of Science (OASOS) at Oke Bola for Senior Secondary School Education. Presently, he is a student of Physiology at the University of Ibadan.

Izunna I. Okafor is an award winning creative Young Nigerian Writer, blogger, essayist and poet who hails from Anambra State. He is a 300 level student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University who has written and published many books – novels, poems, short stories and articles both in hard and soft copies. He writes in both English and Igbo Languages and has also published in both languages.
