CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: FROM THE CONNECT CENTRES

POETS IN NIGERIAIn a bid to bring all activities of PIN Connect Centres to limelight and promote grassroots creativity, Poets in Nigeria (PIN) calls for submissions of event reports and photographs, interviews and poems from the Connect Centres. These materials would be featured on the PIN website (www.poetsinnigeria.org) and in some instances, the PIN Quarterly Journal.

ELIGIBILITY

  • An entrant must be a known member of an accredited PIN Connect Centre.
  • An entrant must have attended a PIN Connect Centre event (at least once).

GUIDELINES

  • The report should not exceed 1000 words and must be complemented by clear photographs.
  • Maximum of 2 poems of limitless word count per entrant. There are no fixed themes.
  • Interviews should revolve around literary matters and literary personalities.
  • Submissions should be original, intellectual property of the entrants.
  • Submissions alongside biography, photograph and contact details of the entrant should be forwarded to [email protected].

DEADLINE: Open all through the year.

  1. Hello Freedom,
    I am among the 100 top poets for the 2017 PIN awards, but I have not obtained my certificate, given that I was unable to attend the awards ceremony that held in Enugu.

    I learnt that PIN would be holding some poetry events and readings at their different Connect locations in the country sometime in October as a memento of Nigeria’s independence. I also learnt that the events would avail those that missed the Enugu ceremony the opportunity to obtain their certificates. But unlike others, I have not received any mail to that effect,so as to enable me state my Connect zone for the said events.
