Poetry is a reflection of the soul – the passage into the divine, the corridor through which we escape the vicious routine of daily life and the bowl with which we contain amazements, bafflements, disappointments and lessons of our experiences. Such is the motivation for this collection.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Enang Godswill Stanislaus, born 12th February, 1998, hails from Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Uyo in Political Science and Public Administration in the year 2018. He was one of PIN Nigerian Students Poetry Prize (NSPP) awards beneficiary in the second edition of the contest in 2017, in which his poem When I Step The Hill came among the top 100 poems.
His flair for poetry began when he was in Senior Secondary 2. Since then, he has grown in heights, not without the help of his father’s library. He lost his dad when he was about starting his University education. The first poem 23rd August is dedicated to his memory.
His hobbies include singing and writing.
