POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE CONTEST 2019: WINNERS

After careful review of shortlisted works drawn from 135 entries, The Glass Door Team is delighted to announce winners of the 3rd edition of The Poetically Written Contest.

Abdulrahim Hussani, an undergraduate of Usmanu DanFodio University, Sokoto, emerged first with his entry entitled “Reversal” while Obinna Obioma, author of two novellas, came second with “Teary Flames. “Silhouettes” authored by Hajaarh Muhammad Bashar, a writer from Minna, clinched the 3rd prize.

The winners will receive a total cash prize of N50,000 and copies of Micah (top 100 poems of the Nigerian Students Poetry Prize) and and have their works published by Poets in Nigeria (PIN) in an e-anthology.

The Poetically Written Prose was initiated in 2017 to discover outstanding prose works exuding the aura of poetry.
