THE WINNERS: POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE CONTEST 2020

Following the announcement of the shortlist on 20th of June, The Glassdoor Initiative is pleased to reveal the winners of its Poetically Written Prose Contest as follows:

1ST PRIZE: The Plague by Boloere Seibidor

2ND PRIZE: Vision 2020 by Olabisi Abiodun Akinwale

3RD PRIZE: Slippery Edges of Poetry & The Hell Beneath by Abduljalal Musa Aliyu

Boloere Seibidor is an undergraduate at the University of Port Harcourt. Her works have been featured on Sprinng, Kreative Diadem, Praxis, and elsewhere.

Olabisi Abiodun Akinwale, a Nigerian poet and writer, lives and writes from a silent town somewhere in the Sahara.

Abduljalal Musa Aliyu is a 500-level student of Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and also a member of ‘Creative Writers’ Club’ in the same institution.


The Poetically Written Prose Contest was initiated in 2017 to discover outstanding prose works exuding the aura of poetry.
